What’s the Buzz?

Welcome to Dose of Honey!  I often feel like the world needs to be a little bit sweeter, and I also know that I’m just one tiny little honey bee.  It takes a whole lot of little drops of honey to fill an empty jar, and that’s a pretty daunting task for just one individual, no matter how enthusiastic she might be.  But a whole hive, each contributing a couple of drops here and a couple of drops there, can slowly and surely fill that jar.  So this busy little bee is starting her hive, and calling for a few good honey bees.

All bee analogies aside, the world is full of busy people going about their busy lives.  But what if, just for a day, a good chunk of those people could take a minute to do one, small, beneficial thing for their community?  I think we have more power than we usually consider, and maybe my glasses are a little rose-tinted, but I don’t think I’m alone.  So here it is – your Dose of Honey.  I’ll be sharing some little (and sometimes some not so little) ways that you can help me spread some sweetness and pollinate our world.

You can expect to find me buzzing about ways that you can make little changes around your household to cut down on your family’s harmful effects on the environment (sometimes while saving a few pennies, too!), ways that you can impact other human beings in a positive way both in your area and globally, and ways that you can help our animal friends, too!

I’m not perfect, something you’ll come to see as you stop by for your dose of honey.  I hope that you, the readers, will contribute some of your ideas and ways to make our world just a little sweeter, one small buzz at a time, so that I can continue to improve the way I live.  Hopefully, I’ll inspire you to make a change or two as well!
Welcome!
